friends & partners
In business, they say, "You're only as good as your last deal." In show business, they say, "You're only as good as your last hit." And in the world of non-profits, they say, "You're only going to be successful if you have a lot of partners."
It is not an exaggeration to say that community collaborations are a key to CSMA's success and ability to make its vision of Arts for All a reality. So who are our partners, why are their connections critical to the school, and what does their involvement mean to YOU?
Here is what CSMA's COMMUNITY PARTNERS do for you, your family and the community. . .
- Arts Council Silicon Valley funds Informances, a free educational series presented in collaboration with Stanford Lively Arts, that provides music and conversation by world-class visiting artists in CSMA’s Tateuchi Hall;
- Shoreline Amphitheatre and Los Altos/Mountain View PTA Council support our annual Choral Fest featuring 500 children singing on Shoreline's main stage;
- City of Mountain View, Mountain View Educational Foundation, individual schools from Daly City to San Jose, and parent groups help us to bring arts education to 7,500+ elementary school children at approximately 30 schools;
- The Mountain View Whisman School District’s longstanding partnership has made it CSMA’s program "flagship" with every child receiving music and art instruction at their elementary school from our faculty;
- Silicon Valley's philanthropic leaders - William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Morgan Family Foundation and others - fund everything from financial aid to creative program development to general operating;
- Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft, Wells Fargo and other corporate partners support everything from equipping our New Media Center to our Art4School program at East Palo Alto’s Costano School;
- University Art of Palo Alto enables us to expand our outreach to teens and adults, providing them with art supply savings.
