COMMUNITY SCHOOL OF MUSIC AND ARTS RECEIVES GRANT FROM
APPLIED MATERIALS TO SUPPORT 2005-06 CONCERT SEASON IN TATEUCHI HALL

(Mountain View, CA) The Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) at Finn Center announced that it has received funding from Applied Materials for its 2005-06 season of performances. The grant supports the school’s mission of Arts for All by making concerts and events in CSMA’s Tateuchi Hall accessible to the community.

During its 2005-06 season, CSMA will present several free series, including its popular Sunday afternoon Family Concerts and Concerts4Kids and its Young Musicians of the Bay Area featuring CSMA’s talented students. Other Tateuchi Hall events this season include the moderately priced Music@7, Faculty & Friends series and Classes w/o Quizzes Arts Lectures.

“ Applied Materials is pleased to be able to partner with CSMA. Our company has been a longtime supporter of the school and its mission of making music and the arts accessible to all,” said Mike O’Farrell, Vice President, Global Affairs. “We hope that many families will take advantage of the opportunity to attend these outstanding series.”

During CSMA’s 2005-06 season, which runs from October to June, the school will present more than 35 free or moderately priced events in Tateuchi Hall. The 200+ seat concert hall is Silicon Valley’s newest performance venue.

CSMA’s executive director Angela McConnell said, “We are so grateful to Applied Materials for their generous support and commitment to the arts. Because of their sponsorship, people of all ages throughout the region will be able to enjoy performances featuring the diverse music, dance, and artistic traditions of cultures from around the world.”
Applied Materials, Inc., the world's largest supplier of products and services to the global semiconductor industry, is one of the leading information infrastructure providers. The company has offices worldwide, with its corporate headquarters located in Santa Clara.
