COMMUNITY SCHOOL OF
MUSIC AND ARTS (CSMA) AT FINN CENTER
NAMES INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
(Mountain View, CA) The board of directors of the Community
School of Music and Arts (CSMA) at Finn Center has
named Susan McInnis as interim executive director. McInnis, who
has served as deputy director for more than two years overseeing
finance and administration, operations and other key areas, will
assume the position in early June. Current executive director
Angela McConnell, who has led the organization for the past four
years, is stepping down to spend more time with her family and
three young children.
“Susan McInnis has a solid understanding of CSMA’s
programs, operations and mission,” said board chair Mike
Couch. “Her ability to step into the role of interim executive
director will provide a smooth transition as Angela leaves the
position and as we work to find her permanent successor.” Couch
added that an executive search committee composed of board members,
McInnis and other senior staff members is currently working with
Korn Ferry International to identify candidates to lead the school.
McInnis holds a degree in finance and accounting from the University
of CA at Berkeley and has studied in the U.S. and abroad through
the masters program of the John Hopkins School of Advanced International
Relations. She has experience in both the non-profit and for-profit
sectors having held senior positions at Enterprise for High School
Students in San Francisco, an agency focused on youth employment,
at Wells Fargo Bank, Autodesk, Inc., Boole & Babbage and
other companies.
“CSMA has a tremendous amount of support in the community,” said
McInnis. "I look forward to continuing to work with CSMA’s
dedicated faculty, staff and board in making music and arts education
programs accessible to people throughout the region.”
The Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) at Finn Center is
