Performing and Teaching Experience

Kyle Sofman has taught Kodaly music (Kindergarten-Gr. 3); Chorus (Gr. 1-5). and Preschool music (ages 3-Kinder entry). She has been a member of the Peninsula Women's Chorus since 1997. Kyle taught and and was a Choral Director for Cantabile Children’s Chorus from 2002-2005.

At CSMA

Kyle has been with CSMA since 1997, teaching Kodaly Music in the Schools. She also teaches Adventures in Music and a Singing Class for children.

Teaching Philosophy and Approach

I teach using the Kodaly method with an eclectic mix of other methods to instill a joy of music in children.

Hobbies

Rollerblading, container gardening, reading, talk radio, all things purple.

Favorite Music

My favorite music is anything that moves me inside or out.

Other

David Sedaris makes me laugh.
Under the Tuscan Sun makes me "homesick" for Italy.
My favorite food is Cheerios in the big yellow box.
