OUR WALLS
Mohr Gallery has a total of seventy-four
linear feet of wall space, spread over four ten-foot walls. Three walls,
including the front wall, are gypboard, and measure 20', 12' and 10'.
The fourth wall is 32 feet of concrete, perfect for larger paintings.
Additionally, we have space in the adjoining lobby and between the
walls, which can be used to display three-dimensional works.
LIGHTING AND HANGING
The Gallery's windows let in beautiful natural light, most of which
is indirect and which can be controlled with shades for more sensitive
pieces of art. Our lighting system itself is state-of-the-art, as is
our hanging system by Arakawa. Stainless steel cables, designed
to hold up to sixty-five pounds each, hang from rails embedded in our
walls, suspending the artwork on hooks. The system works best with
wired pieces or frames with D-rings attached to the back.
Mohr Gallery is fully insured, and security staff are on duty
whenever the building is open, including evenings and weekends
