Donor Spotlight on Stephen A. Finn
What's in a Name?
The Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) at Finn Center is honored to have
the friendship and support of "Great Giver" Stephen A. Finn. "As a donor, I am proud to have played such an instrumental role in advocating
for civic life and the arts in our region," said Steve Finn recently.
"I believe strongly in the value of music and arts education in inspiring
children and adults, and enjoy the philanthropic role that I have played
in furthering CSMA's important mission of Arts for All." Thanks in large part to Steve Finn's extraordinary $2
million investment in our capital campaign, CSMA opened the doors of
its first permanent home
in January 2004. Today, CSMA's Finn Center is renowned as the region's premier destination
for music and arts education and the home of Arts for All! In addition,
Finn
Center has been recognized for its design excellence by awards from
the American Institute of Architects, Business Week and Architectural
Record. A graduate of Santa Clara University with a Master's of
Business Administration (MBA), Steve Finn is actively involved in numerous
business, political, and commumity activities. He is Founder, Chairman,
and CEO of Trust Company of America, as well as former Mayor and City
Council member of the City of Los Altos Hills. Today, the name Finn
Center is well-known and synonymous with the award-winning programs
that fill a void in our public and private schools throughout Silicon
Valley region.
Thank you, Steve, for your generous investment in our organization,
our facility and our mission. Since the day you helped to dig the
first shovel in the ground for Finn
Center, you have played a key
role in providing philanthropic support, organizational input, and
important friendship as well as advocacy for the arts. |
