Part Time Pre-School / Early Childhood Music Teacher
Candidates must be responsible, punctual, energetic and creative. We are seeking team players; however individuals must also work independently. Applicant must also love and respect all children, while having good communication skills with parents and staff. This part-time, non-exempt position reports to the Pre-School Program Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children 18 months – 7 years, experience w/ a parent co-op a plus;
- Pro-active, collaborative and efficient in a team environment;
- Excellent time management, presentation, facilitation, written and verbal skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with students, faculty, parents, and staff;
- Ability to work a flexible schedule;
- Enthusiasm for the arts and education.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the daily schedule;
- Maintain an orderly classroom;
- Plan and lead daily themed activities;
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff;
- Promote interest in music and art education among parents of pre-school children;
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the Pre-School Program Coordinator.
