Teaching Philosophy and Approach
Singing is a human right.  Anyone who has an urge to sing should.  My main goal is to inspire students to find and acknowledge their creativity and joy in music;  for here is where one can find their own personal style.  Jazz is freedom.  To sing jazz is to create.  Rhythm is at the root of style. Style is the rhythm of your soul.  That is jazz!  If you want to be a semi-professional or professional singer there are important skills you must learn: vocal technique, musicianship, music history and music literature.  I enjoy seeing students blossom and find their spark!
