CSMA camps and workshops provide children the opportunity to express, explore, create and enjoy the arts in a relaxing, safe and fun environment. Our faculty of professional artists, musicians and educators work with children to create a stimulating, nurturing experience for students to share the joy of learning new skills, and making art, music and friends.

With more than 75 camps in art, music and new media offered every year, our program provides a diversity of choices designed to expose children to the rich multi-cultural, multi-faceted world of the arts. Small camp size (generally under 16 children) and a low teacher-student ratio ensures individualized attention as well as the opportunity to work on both individual and collaborative projects.
CSMA's year-round camp program offers sessions during school vacations (December, February, April) and throughout the summer (June through August). Flexible enrollment options (half day or full day) allow families to create a schedule to meet individual needs.
End-of-camp exhibitions and performances provide children the chance to share with family and friends and to showcase what they have learned and created.

Young musicians can take their playing to a whole new level in CSMA’s intensive, one-week summer workshops led by outstanding international teams of CSMA and guest faculty. Students receive individual and group instruction in solo, small and large ensemble repertoire. Youth and teen workshops are offered in a variety of styles and instruments, from cello to voice, from jazz to rock, and more! Workshops include sessions in digital music, composition, recording and theory, as well as working with accompanists. Workshops conclude with student and faculty performances in Tateuchi Hall.
Prerequisites: Enrollment in these intensive summer workshops requires two years of private instrumental lessons, secure knowledge of music reading at student’s level, and faculty approval or audition.
